It’s an honor to have you wear a piece of jewelry from the Beryl & Mae collection. @berylandmae is a tribute to my grandmothers, Beryl and Mae, strong women who gracefully persevered through all the beautiful and challenging phases of their lives.
Each design is a one of a kind, slow-crafted, handmade, electroformed piece of art, as unique and beautiful as you are. May your selection bring you strength, peace and joy throughout the years to come.
During the early 1900s, Beryl was born in a town on the gold coast of Australia. Beryl and her sisters made their own dresses and worked for the Red Cross during WWII. Beryl fell in love with a handsome man stationed in her hometown from California. It wasn't long before they married and Beryl pioneered across the Pacific to California on a ship for two weeks.
In the late 1800s, Mae's parents voyaged across the Atlantic from Ireland. They decided to make their way to California, where Mae was born in the early 1900s. Mae was excitingly ahead of her time. She enjoyed diving off bridges and had employment at a famous sugar factory during a time when many women did not work.
